There is not much I need to add here if you read the ARC Daily Log bellow. Careful it's a long one. The rudder stock could have broken free of the tiller if we did not find a solution fast! Finbarr saved the day by scavenging a bolt from the outboard engine. I learnt a couple of things that day. The importance of addressing an issue promptly, properly assessing a structural meeknesses, and thirdly if you can't find something in your tools and spare equipment, start looking at the boat. I would not have thought of that. In the end we came up with an elegant and secure solution. Click on the picture above for a detail.
