The Sunday Blues

I am into my fourth week now and I am not at all confident I will be out of here by end of the week. I left my engineer on Thursday with no fixed idea how things will proceed. He is having a cataract operation.

The anti-fowling is finished. The woodwork oiled and the varnishing into, I think, a fifth or fourth coat. I'm going to clean and polish the topsides Monday. Got to keep doing something while I wait for completion of the engine.

I had a look at Tim Harvey's website today, www.vancouvertovancouver.com , and I am struck by how slowly I am moving. I met him in Las Palmas in January and the Swedish team he was sailing with at the time are already in Tahiti! Tim is probably in the USA as I type this. Check out his website. It is certainly an ambitious and interesting undertaking. I should explain a bit. Back in Los Palmas, I was introduced to Tim in the Match Racing bar as a fellow Canadian. Well he might as well have been my next door neighbour. We started to narrow things down, Vancouver, the same high school, and even Savory Island. Woahh.

A time to do my email and stretch back and read my Stephen King novel. What do people see in him anyway . . .?
