Another Sunday at work. Took it easy today. Did a bit of a house clean. The boat looked like a bomb had gone off in it. The old diesel tank was removed on Friday. There seemed no point having an old dirty tank, causing a new engine to fail. As usual it proved interesting to extract it. Louis, my Canary Ninja Bodge it man was on hand to do the job. It's interesting working with these guys. Louis and Pepe are friends. I have been working with Pepe all week and we somehow manage to communicate even if we can't speak the same language. I was worried about the petrol tank, which got sorted out in the end and Pepe got me to cut holes in the cockpit lockers for the new engine instrument panel and gear shift.

On a personal note, had a bit of a long distance crisis with the girlfriend. My fault. It all started on Monday, fielding a phone call while looking for a Spanish/English dictionary of all things! The Monday night email response was a disaster! Any old how, I have had plenty to think about while sanding washboards, paddles, finishing off the teak oil, and putting some of the final touches on the hull before anti-fowling. The silence is eerie.

On a more positive note, I haven't seen a cockroach all day! Thank goodness for small mercies.
