Sylvie and David arrived back in Santa Cruz a week later with the spare parts. With the new thermostat in my hand the problem is now obvious. I have to mention as my unending hymn of praise how great Sylvie and David have been to me. During the week Sylvie, in a creative fit decided to help me sew the missing port side cushions and back rest. She spent over two days at the sewing machine and sorting out foam and material. What a hero! I love you girl if you ever get to read this! Unfortunately as the cruising life goes life time spent with friends is short lived. Who knows we might meet again. Click on the picture above for a shot of the ship on laundry day and a shot of David and Sylvie leaving for Durban, Africa, via Grande Canaria and Cape Verde. David is hard to spot but the silhouette of his distinguished nose can just be made out in the saloon window.
