Cagliari

The trip from Carloforte was brilliant. Stopped at a beautiful anchorage near Capo Malafanto. Just about 25 miles west of Cagliari. Stayed two nights. Met two boats waiting for favourable winds to Sicily. Light bulb goes off in head. I'd been having a debate whether to stay in the Med or not. To keep going east or turn arround and head for the Atlantic? That was the quesion. I'd been batting this about the whole trip south from Alghero. Staying in the Mediterranean was starting to win over heading across the Atlantic. What sinched it was meeting these two boats. In my plan of plans Sicily was the next step towards Greece and the America's Cup was on. That's it. I'm off. On to Cagliary, sort out provisions, web site, crew adverts, and my English gas bottles. Well I managed all that it in just two days. The picture is from the one bit of sight seeing I did. Underneath the altar which you see under repair here was a spooky chamber where all the cardinals or bishops met. The echo of past meetings seemed to seep from the walls. I was out of there and off to the supermacado before the siesta.
