Barcelona is a great town. I rented a bike and checked out the sites, a relentless steam of churches and museums. I was tied up in Port Vell, right in the middle of town. My neighbours in the Marina, Gil and Christine were brilliant. One day they took me under their wing and offered me a cup of tea. They could tell I was lost for company. The picture is of the roof of Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. I had heard so much about it I had to go. Funny place I thought. It is the only attraction where I have paid into the funds that go into making it right there on the spot. The place was a walk in construction site. Cool but not as nice as the beaches along the cities edge.
