Estapona - visiting Claire

Tony and I arrived at the Estapona after a 25 mile power sail. The note in the log at 16:07 reads “Time for a Barley Sandwich” which is Tony’s way of saying lets have a beer. We ended up in the end having to anchor off the marina because my insurance papers were out of date. (Long Drama about getting those but I won’t bore you) Let it suffice to say we managed to vault through the bureaucratic hurdles and establish the veracity of my claim that I was in fact insured for 3rd party liability. Up until now everyone had been very lax about the insurance papers. We should have tweaked when we passed a burnt out hulk of a yacht on the Marina quay. Once finally docked we managed to lift my friend Claire onto the boat. We enjoyed cerveze around the cockpit with friend’s had an interesting night out visiting a Dutch café. A day later the website was updated, the boat re-provisioned and I was the proud owner of a Spanish Number. My spirits were lagging somewhat and the acquisition of a Spanish Sim Card cheered me up.
