Alone, aboard Compromise with a coffee in hand I have time to reflect on the past what has gone before, what awaits me. My SX70 camera died yesterday. So much for that photographic expidition. Reminded me of art school. All chemical stains and white chalk over a blurred image. Great stuff. Today I did laundry and I await the arrival of my next crewmate, Tony. Dinner was good though, desert not bad, I had to keep things going after the departure of Ed. Prices are unbelievalbe, Carpo de Mediteranio, €.47, wine, €1.10 and a bottle of Gin, €7.11. I think I could get to like Portugal. Just one last thing to recount: On our entrance to Viano de Castello Ed and I nearly got cleaned up by a water spout. A small little twister. All very symbolic, a cautionary reminder of natures power, followed by a rainbow and a safe harbour. It was a dramatic end to a two week passage.
Several days later my new crewmate has arrived and we are off for Porto, a gentle 35 mile sail. Here he is at the helm, Tony.
