I am coming back to this diary entry over a month later. In fact it is the 9th of June and I am waiting for gale force winds to subside before making the final leg in to Gibraltar.
The 4th of May seems like an age ago. The picture is taken from the dawn Ed and I set out alone. A third crewmate proved too allusive a goal. We just needed to point the boat at Black Head and turn left and head due south for Portugal. Good bye Galway, hello Atlantic Ocean. Here is a picture of Ed on deck with a sandwich to hand. The weather forecast was for 4 days of NW winds F3-5, perfect. We were off!
