One of the out takes from my photographic expedition on Sunday. Today it's back to the list prioritising the work for the week. New boom arrives Friday and mast steps. Boat's got to come out of the water as well for a quick wash, coat of anti fowling and fix that anode. I discovered it had been painted over when winterizing the boat back in November. Must have been leprechauns!
On the systems front have had an interesting time going through all the software I now have on board. Adam from Alaska is sailing an 11 ton steel sloop up to the Northern Circle. He has been brilliant, hel[ing me out with the software, the most surprising of which is a programme that condenses charts for the world onto 3 CD’s. I have even patched in the GPS with a RS232 connector and have live navigation information on my laptop. I now need to sort out weather fax via Short Wave. Hmmm.
From the sublime to the . . . technical.
