The view from the galley

Sunday was one of those days. A gift to be relished so much more for having worked so hard the week before. I was living in chaos all week. Shifting stuff from one little corner to the next. I had to re-wire equipment in the saloon and the heads which involved following the existing wires back through the panelling and up through the cabin sole. The week started out with the loss of my radar or more to the point the decision not to invest in a failing 20 year old piece of kit and ended with the decision to purchase a new boom for slab reefing. Sunday, a day of rest, I decided to go for a walk and check out Kilrush. I marched off to Church in the morning and then a bit of photography and a walk in the afternoon. I wanted to go to an Irish service and hoped the locals would stop staring at my long hair if I showed up for mass. Like heck it did. Had a great moment walking out on the shore and stopped for a rest in a little cemetery and had lunch. It was a perfect day.
