Back in early October I was invited to participate in the Baltimore Ball, a charity event to buy the town a defibulator. At the time I was not sure if I would be in port but in the end I decided I had to make it as I had foolishly brought my black tie along for the voyage. I had a date, the lovely Kathryn Hurley. This is what the lovely young couple looked like . We were joined by two of Katheryn's friends, Gerard & Linda. It was great fun. I managed to get mixed up in a Blind Date contest, which in the end turned out to be 3 guys dressed in drag with woman's voices. The butt of a joke and much to my own dates chagrin we had yet another bottle of champagne to contend with. Despite the ammount drunk we all managed to meet for a short walk out to a head land of Baltimore Bay the next day. Apparently I even got a mention in the local town paper.
