On Board Compromise

Well this is probably the last entry for the site for another month or so. I am still struggling with my laptop and phone connection. It is hard to get things straightened out in the middle of a remote harbour on the Irish coast. The attached is from a picture I took the other night. I befriended a lovely couple from Dublin, Mary and Miriam. They were good value as my sister would say. We had a great dinner and an adventurous dinghy ride home. You can't even take guests out to the boat without thinking twice about the weather. By the time dinner was over I had the unenviable job of helping two big bottomed gals into a very small and unstable dinghy with the wind and waves up. Bless them though, they left smiling despite the danger factor. Now I am trying to sort out where to keep the boat over the winter months and whether I am to stay on board or seek delivery work on a yacht somewhere else in the world. It might sound glamorous but right now things feel a little bit unsettled not to mention the cold!
