Sea Trials outside Chichester Harbour

Well we finally made a brakethrew today. Managed for the first time to put a reef in the sail using the rolling reefing system. What a pain. On Friday we ran our selves ragged trying to sort it out. This has been a major thorn in my side as reefing is pretty essential to keeping the boat controled and stable in windy weather conditions. We also managed to run the Duogen in the water mode for the first time along side the Self Stearing Windvain. The two conflict a bit but it does not look too big a problem. The self steering was the star of the day as it seemed to work well on all points of sail in arround 5 to 10 knots of wind. Now we've got to test the water system next. The sky shot is from Saturday where we didn't really managed to get much acomplished at all but we did have a nice sail on a severly reefed main in light airs. People must of wondered what the hell we were doing.
