What can I say. The yard sale was a roaring success. The neighbours all made off with my
junk at ridiculously low prices. They were happy, I was happy and you know selling paper
back books, furniture and odds and ends adds up. The boat really was the draw and I managed to
sell that as well. In total I made £430. The boat was 200, so £230 for all my old crap.
Fantastic! It was a great afternoon. My friends Neil and Graham joined me all day. At the very
end of it, what was left went to a charity shop. My favourite moment of the day was selling
an old nackerd chair at 3pm just as we were shutting down, and then the neighbours on the
top floor of the building scream out. "How much for the ladder" "Two pound fifty I replied"
Well sold! Another piece of deluxe junk off my hands.
So of course we had to celebrate that night. I can't recommend having a little neighbourhood sale
enough. It was the first time in 10 years I talked to people who live next door or down the
street. The kids were great. The neighbours were to and the weather was perfect. Well enough
of that true story. Still got a way to go before I can put good old 32 Dulwich road to bed.
Not all in a days work my friend, not all in a days work.
